There are a few mature subjects in this book I wasn't expecting, i.e. safe sex. Be careful if giving as a gift.
I bought this book for my 13 year old niece who was entering high school. My niece is a bit sheltered and therefore young for her age. She read the book in short order and then reported it to her mother. My sister was on the phone to me (laughing)asking me what kind of books I was buying for her daughter. There were several inappropriate suggestions involving nudity and alcohol. My niece thought they were outrageous and told her mother. However, my niece really did like some of the suggestions and will be doing them (not the inappropriate stuff!). She also liked the setup of the book. I think she read the whole thing in less than an hour.
What a perfect idea as teens go through adolescence! A positive book that tells them what they SHOULD do during this most questioning time of life. Be sure all your teens have copies of their own. They will thank you years later. Cathy
Its cool but i don't feel like all of them are unisex, or really normal things to do while in high school.
Super perfect for the young teen in your life. I enjoyed reading it myself! The book has different categories. I is kind of like an "early in life" Bucket List.
Bought for my granddaughter, there were some funny things to do in the book. I think she will not do everything but she was giggling while reading it.
This book is super cute. It’s mostly a book of how to do things. Like laundry or making food. It’s great to send the kids off to college with. They’ll use it more than they know!
Pretty cool, they could have omitted things like "throw a house party" which kids are probably going to do anyway. There are a few good sections though.
